WelcomeThe Third European Congress of Virology forms a platform for basic, medical, veterinary and plant virology. It will provide a European forum for students, postdocs and established virologists to meet, exchange insights and information, and enhance interactions. The conference has the support of a wide range of European virology and microbiology organizations, and is also the Annual Meeting of both the European Society for Clinical Virology (ESCV) and the German/Swiss/Austrian Society for Virology (Gesellschaft für Virologie - GfV).
The Conference will be held in the new Congress Center Nürnberg (CCN Ost), close to underground, bus and train stations, hotels, restaurants, shops and tourist attractions. Its large auditorium and exhibition space ensures that delegates and exhibitors will have ample opportunity to meet.
Reduced registration fees for Diploma and Doctoral students and a large number of travel grants will be available. The deadline for early registration and abstracts is 15 April, 2007.
The scientific program includes plenary sessions, workshops (with State-of-the-Art-Lectures), and spacious poster sessions (with wine and cheese served) as well as satellite meetings on the most pivotal areas of virology.
